Introduction
So as you can see I’ve made a few tweaks to the look of things again, it’s part of a number of changes I’m planning next month. Things are going to keep going, but I might be revisiting a few old favourites…

Plot Synopsis

We start with Pee Gee’s power’s still going out of control all glowing and about to potentially explode with energy. Huntress anchors her down with her handy all purpose crossbow before dampening the energy by dunking Power Girl in the river.

Meanwhile out shadow wielding villain is talking to some sort of priest, in front of a very demonic statue, she apparently wants out of punishing the rich but he convinces her to carry on her mission.

We then cut back to Kara and Helena and whilst Helena is all business, after our shadow wielding villain, whilst Kara is wondering about the duplicates of those they lost on Earth 2. She wistfully mention boys in this, and whilst it might not fit my head canon Kara obviously had several boy friends, probably boyfriends, back on Earth 2. Helena is a bit more pragmatic about the whole things, and they playfully exchange insults before deciding to go back out on their mission to find the villain.

Pee Gee goes zipping out to look, but Huntress relies on her investigation skills and appears to track the villain down fairly shortly. She attacks and manages to pin down the villain, but again she escapes and leads Huntress into the temple with the demon statue. This time Huntress manages to take her, and the priest down, but the apparent demon statue comes to life and begins to choke Huntress with shadow energy.

Of course at this point Pee Gee turns up and breaks the shadows, literally tying them into knots before as is the habit her powers flakes out and she collapses to the floor. At this point the demon statue becomes a lot more mobile demon striding to attack Pee Gee, who dodges around keeping the demon occupied until she grabs hold of Huntresses crossbow and shots the creature with a bolt that causes the thing to explode!

We end at Rocco’s with Helena buying them both lunch, even though previously they agreed the person who found the villain last would pay, because as Kara points out she saved Helena’s ass. They also discuss how Kara should see someone about her powers being on the fritz.

Final Thoughts
I don’t normally comment on the art, I can draw at all and I admire anyone with a modicum of talent, but in this case I really noticed that the art is rather inconsistent. Some of it is really good and other parts aren’t as good looking, it’s not enough to ruin the experience but if I notice it then it must be bad!

Overall the story has been fine, but it seems uninterested in the finer details, for now we don’t know who the villains is, why they’ve been forced to do this or even why the demon is happy to chill most of the time. It even misses a chance to comment on the fact that she’s been targeting rich people, apart from a single throwaway line. The character interactions between Kara and Helena is excellent as normal, they still feel like real friends including the times when they don’t necessarily agree.
